Pep Guardiola insists Liverpool shouldn’t be ruled out of the Premier League title race with Arsenal despite their poor run of form.
Arne Slot’s side have lost their last three Premier League games but put that behind them with a 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt within the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The losses to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Manchester United have left Liverpool fourth within the Premier League and 4 points behind leaders Arsenal.
City, meanwhile, sit three points behind Arsenal ahead of their trip to Aston Villa on Sunday.
Arsenal are also playing on Sunday as they host Crystal Palace on the Emirates Stadium, while Liverpool look to get their Premier League campaign back on target away to Brentford on Saturday evening.

Asked if he believes City are flying under the radar within the Premier League title race, Guardiola sarcastically replied: ‘Well, in the primary two games, three games, yeah of course we [City] are out.
‘And Liverpool is already done, and now it looks like Liverpool is completed. And I’ll inform you that they will likely be back.
‘I’ve said repeatedly, I do know all of the pundits, all of the specialists or former players, they know all the things that’s going to occur after five games, I’m not in a position to try this.
‘So, at all times I wait for 10, 15 games to know exactly what is occurring. But I believe obviously Liverpool and Arsenal are there, another person will likely be there, hopefully we could be there.’
