Below Deck Med Deckhand Tessa Budd Curses Out Captain Sandy After Firing

Below Deck Mediterranean’s Tessa Budd didn’t take kindly to Captain Sandy Yawn firing her — and she or he made her disappointment known.

Through the Monday, October 27, episode of the hit Bravo series, boson Nathan Gallagher had to choose who from his deck team would get fired: Christian Trimino or Tessa. In a surprise turn of events, Nathan opted to nominate that each Christian and Tessa get replaced. He explained to Sandy that he didn’t think they might pick up the abilities needed to work on deck in time to assist him finish the remaining of the season.

Sandy agreed with Nathan and began by calling Christian in to dismiss him. Christian, who got in trouble for letting a drunk guest within the water at night, graciously accepted his firing despite calling it a “disappointing” decision.

“The explanations are valid but I wish I had the chance to indicate them that I’m capable,” he shared in a confessional before apologizing for putting “someone at risk” during his shift on deck.

Tessa, nevertheless, wasn’t as understanding when called to talk to Sandy and Nathan.

“I’m really sorry but I actually have to allow you to go,” Sandy told Tessa. “I do know you come from an enormous boat, which is a unique experience. But when I could, get on small boats. Because on small boats you learn every thing.”

While chatting with producers, Tessa blew off Sandy’s advice, adding, “Truthfully like f*** her. I don’t need her help.”

She continued: “I feel like Nathan’s leadership style is pretty s***. I feel like I also didn’t get the chance to indicate my skills. Good luck to them, it’s their loss.”

Season 10 reunited Sandy and Nathan with Aesha Scott. Along with past Below Deck star deckhand Max Salvador, the remaining of the crew includes Chef Josh Bingham and stews Kizzi Kitchener and Victoria SanJuan.

“Consistency makes a greater boat,” Sandy exclusively told Us Weekly in September about hoping to stay with a few of the same crew season to season. “You’re not at all times training people they usually’re not at all times finding their feet. But to be honest, every boat that we get every season is different. It’s rare we get the identical boat every season.”

Sandy didn’t rule out changes later within the season, sharing, “Irrespective of in case you return or not, you’re still going to need to work out the boat since it’ll probably be a unique one. Having consistency after we return is great since the trust factor for me is there — or the watch factor to be certain that I keep watch over them. Because sometimes they’re just not great at certain things but they’re great at others.”

She concluded: “Aesha is well-rounded. [With Nathan], I feel unless you’re pushed into something, you’re never going to know in case you’re a fit. I feel pressure makes us higher. I do apply the pressure and let’s see how well Nathan handles that pressure.”

By the point Monday’s episode got here to an end, Captain Sandy found one deck alternative — Below Deck Med alum Joe Bradley. It stays unclear who will take over the second vacant position on deck.
