Bethesda games are at all times so large in scope, in just about every aspect other than voice lines. No, Nexus Mods user spdude goes to the difficulty of recruiting recent voice actors to liven up NPCs around Skyrim, giving the world some much-needed diversity.
Skyrim Revoiced Will Add Recent Voice Acting To Skyrim
As you may hear within the video, the Skyrim Revoiced project is well underway. Here, we get a preview of a few of the NPCs who now have unique voice actors, helping to distinguish them from other NPCs dotted across the map.
Modder spdude has created the same mod up to now, Skyrim Vocal Diversity. Nevertheless, these recent voice lines were generated using AI, so understandably, many players would need to avoid it. With Skyrim Revoiced, we will see that spdude has gone to the trouble of casting recent actors, making it feel far more human. The mod creator says that it should change the voices of fifty NPCs, and so they expect the mod to be able to download soon.
On the very least, Bethesda does appear to remember that an absence of voice diversity in its games is an issue. Oblivion Remastered actually remedied this by adding more voice actors to the sport, so now, every race is played by a singular actor. You continue to have the problem of major characters within the important story sounding the exact same as your average merchant, but it surely no less than brings Oblivion as much as par with modern Bethesda games.
