Megan Fox is getting real about postpartum after welcoming her and Machine Gun Kelly’s first child together.
“To start with, I just wish to say I just had a baby, and I actually have numerous brain fog,” Fox, 39, shared during a screening of her Jennifer’s Body film on the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 25, per a TikTok.
She continued, “I haven’t slept in seven months. So if I repeat myself, I’m sorry. Just interrupt me and tell me I’m off course.”
Fox explained that she “really resonated” with the script for Jennifer’s Body, including her character becoming a monster.
“There’s something about that, whether it’s perceived or not,” she said. “I felt like I used to be persecuted at the moment in my profession, and I used to be struggling rather a lot with fame and type of traumatized by fame.”
She continued, “I resonated with those deeper layers of before she becomes a monster, she’s a teenage girl that gets sacrificed for someone else’s gain. And that very much resonated because that’s type of how I got here into this industry.”
Fox embodied the film by rocking a corset adorned with red beaded jewels — giving the look that she was dripping blood. The event marked Fox’s first appearance since welcoming her youngest child, daughter Saga Blade Fox-Baker, 7 months. (Fox can also be mom to sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green. Kelly, for his part, welcomed daughter Casie with ex Emma Cannon in 2009.)
In June 2020, Us Weekly reported that Fox and Kelly, now 35, were “officially dating.” The pair got engaged in 2022 but split two years later after announcing they were expecting their first baby together. Fox and Kelly (real name Colson Baker) welcomed Saga in March.
“My family is Norwegian and there’s a Norwegian goddess named Saga, and it means epic story. And so we named her Saga because to get her on this earth through highs and lows, it truly was an epic story of affection, pain and numerous magic,” Kelly shared during a September episode of Jennifer Hudson’s eponymous talk show.
In August, a source exclusively told Us that Kelly and Fox weren’t putting a label on their relationship after Saga’s arrival.
“Megan may be very strong-willed and doesn’t want to provide in to MGK and permit him fully back in. She’s standing her ground but, after all, still loves him,” the insider said, noting that things “feel back to ‘normal’ between them.”
A separate source, nevertheless, shared that Fox and Kelly were “still being intimate” and were “attempting to work things out to reconcile.”
Kelly, for his part, has gushed over Fox in recent months.
“I had [Saga] with the one who is the best partner, like, the best partner to have had a toddler with, because she’s such an exceptional mom,” Kelly told Hudson in September. “We go backwards and forwards on who [Saga] looks like,” he continued. “Last month, she looked exactly like me, and now she looks exactly like her.”
