Muhammad Mokaev wants to vary people’s opinions by doing what he does best.
Following UFC 304, Mokaev shockingly parted ways with the promotion after racking up seven consecutive wins within the flyweight division.
The undefeated contender seemed to be in position to challenge for the 125 pound gold in his next outing after beating Manel Kape via a unanimous decision.
This hasn’t stopped Mokaev from continuing to increase his unbeaten streak while fans call for him to earn a second likelihood within the UFC.
‘The Punisher’ recently made a surprising comparison when speaking about his perception in an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow.

Muhammad Mokaev references how Colby Covington modified the UFC’s perception
On November 7, Muhammad Mokaev is about to challenge for the inaugural BRAVE flyweight title on the promotion’s landmark a hundredth event.
When talking to Bloody Elbow ahead of the fight, some comparisons were made between his UFC profession and the run of Merab Dvalishvili.
Dana White has admitted to coming around to the bantamweight champion following his remarkable title run, after they initially butted heads for several reasons.
Together with Dvalishvili, Mokaev believes that Colby Covington is one other fighter who he has some similarities with.
Covington saved his UFC profession on at the present time in 2017 when he modified the promotion’s perception of him by becoming a controversial figure and generating lots more value than he had previously.
Mokaev, who will tackle Ireland’s Gerard Burns next month, desires to do an identical thing by continuing to prove that he’s an elite fighter.
“I believe Colby Covington had an identical situation that I had. I imagine it’s an identical situation, and Merab’s. Anyone’s opinion you may change by changing yourself and results. You can not deal with the negative side, you only must go on the market and perform higher.
“Like Dana said, he can exit and develop into champion some place else. I’ll develop into champion some place else and now it’s a matter of how I develop into champion. How I’m going to complete Gerard Burns, that’s an important thing.”

Muhammad Mokaev is simply focused on being the perfect fighter possible
Muhammad Mokaev believes that whether he gets a second shot within the UFC can be entirely determined by the way of his performances.
If ‘The Punisher’ is in a position to make an announcement in a title fight, this might take him one step closer to the Octagon, but he’s not focused on that.
Mokaev is doing what got him to the UFC in the primary place, taking up each challenge as they arrive, though he’s clearly motivated to impress when he makes the walk.
“All is determined by the performance and right away, I cannot look past Gerard Burns since it doesn’t matter what calibre of fighter he’s, now we have to remain focused,” Mokaev told Bloody Elbow. “That’s what got me where I’m today. I stay focused and have a look at the opponent that’s in front of me. We’ll see. Right away, I’m with BRAVE, I’m feeling comfortable here.”
