Netflix today announced the sequel to the crime thriller franchise Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders. The second installment will see Honey Trehan return to the Director’s chair and have Smita Singh reprise her role because the film’s author. Produced by RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures, the film marks the highly anticipated return of Nawazuddin Siddiqui because the sharp, no-nonsense Inspector Jatil Yadav, alongside an acclaimed forged that features Chitrangada Singh, Rajat Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Ila Arun, Revathy, Akhilendra Mishra, Priyanka Setia, Sanjay Kapoor, and Radhika Apte.

Set a couple of years after the events of the primary film, which was released in 2020 to positive reception, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders follows Inspector Jatil Yadav as he’s drawn into one other complex investigation, a chilling case of murder committed in cold blood. This results in the unravelling of long-buried secrets inside a robust family. Because the mystery deepens, Jatil is once more compelled to confront the fragile balance between truth and consequence.

The Netflix film can have its World Premiere on the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, this November, marking its first showcase to audiences ahead of its release.
