Dispatch Sells Over 1M Copies in 10 Days

Telltale Games, as we knew it from The Walking Dead and The Wolf Amongst Us, is a thing of the past, nevertheless it looks like we finally have an actual spiritual successor with AdHoc Studio. AdHoc Studio, originally established in 2018 by veterans from Telltale Games, Ubisoft, and Night School Studio, has seen its debut title, Dispatch, sell over a million copies in 10 days. It’s an incredible achievement, considering its episodic release means many individuals, myself included, are waiting for the conclusion before diving in.

The story-driven game centers on a superhero workplace where players must manage a dysfunctional team of misfit heroes. This involves determining which hero to send to emergencies around the town. The primary two episodes debuted on October 22, and one other two episodes will release each week until the conclusion on November 12. It’s a rollout that has worked up to now with Telltale Games and even Life Is Strange, nevertheless it’s been some time since a successful game used an episodic release. Dispatch stars an incredible solid of voice actors, including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Matthew Mercer, and Jeffrey Wright.

As someone who loves classic Telltale Games, I’m really looking forward to trying out Dispatch. I’m being patient, though, and waiting to start out it a few days before November 12.
