Recently fired UFC fighter takes one other massive L amid fight-fixing allegations

What a wild few days it has been for Isaac Dulgarian.

Once an undefeated prospect within the UFC’s featherweight division, Kansas City’s Isaac Dulgarian isn’t any longer on the UFC roster after a suspicious loss at UFC Vegas 110 over the weekend.

Dulgarian was a large favorite to beat Yadier del Valle before the betting lines drastically modified, with money coming in on del Valle late.

Dulgarian ended up losing by first-round submission in an ‘amateur’ showing, which left many to wonder if he had thrown the fight on purpose.

The UFC released an announcement following the controversy and Dulgarian’s firing, saying they’ll be conducting a ‘thorough review’ of what happened.

As for Dulgarian, the previous UFC star received some bad news from the commission that oversaw Saturday’s fight.

Issac Dulgarian has entire fight purse withheld after UFC firing

Dulgarian left the Octagon empty-handed.

In line with a report from Ariel Helwani, Dulgarian’s fight purse from Saturday night is being withheld by the Nevada State Athletic Commission until further notice.

“The Nevada State Athletic Commission withheld Isaac Dulgarian’s ENTIRE purse on Saturday as a result of the irregular betting activity surrounding his fight, sources tell @uncrownedcombat,” Helwani wrote on X.

“No timeline as to when or even when they may release it.

“Investigation pending.”

Isaac Dulgarian was coached by James Krause

That is hardly the UFC’s first betting scandal.

Former UFC fighter and coach James Krause was suspended by the UFC in 2022 after an investigation was launched into the irregular betting line movement in Darrick Minner (his fighter) vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke.

Minner, who suffered a fast first-round TKO loss, was also suspended by the UFC in addition to UFC flyweight Jeff Molina.

Dulgarian used to coach under Krause at Glory MMA years ago.
