If the name Kai Trump rings any bells, that’s probably because she’s a part of America’s first family.
Kai, 18, is the oldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump and the oldest granddaughter of President Donald Trump. She’s also an avid golfer, and might be competing within the LPGA Tour for the primary time this month. The highschool senior, who will attend the University of Miami starting next 12 months, will play within the tournament November 10-16 on the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
Her participation within the tournament has sparked some criticism, especially as some have questioned if her recent golf scores are deserving of the invitation. (Kai scored 52-over par on the Junior Invitational in March of this 12 months.) Nevertheless, Ricki Lasky, the chief tour business and operations officer on the LPGA, has defended the invite.
While addressing the criticism on Tuesday, October 28, Lasky told the Associated Press, “Sponsor invitations are a very important solution to highlight emerging talent and produce recent attention to our tournaments and the LPGA. Kai’s broad following and reach are helping introduce golf to recent audiences, especially amongst younger fans. We’re excited to see her take this next step in her journey.”

Kai Trump Is the Oldest Child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump
Kai is the oldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, who share five children in total, including sons Donald III, Tristan and Spencer, in addition to their daughter Chloe.
Though Kai was born in Recent York on May 12, 2007, she and her family moved to Jupiter, Florida, when she was 13 years old. She’s currently a student on the Benjamin School and is ready to graduate in 2026.
Kai Supported Her Grandfather on the 2024 Republican National Convention

If Kai seems familiar, it is perhaps because she spoke on the 2024 Republican National Convention in support of her grandfather and his bid for re-election.
“I’m speaking today to share the side of my grandpa that individuals don’t often see. To me, he’s just a traditional grandpa,” Kai said partially. “He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He at all times desires to understand how we’re doing at school.”
She continued: “Once I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to point out his friends how proud he was of me … He calls me in the course of the middle of the varsity day to ask how my golf game goes, and tells me all about his, but then I even have to remind him that I’m at school and I’ll need to call him back later. After we play golf together, if I’m not on his team, he’ll attempt to get within my head. I do know. And he’s at all times surprised that I don’t let him get to me, but I even have to remind him I’m a Trump too.”
She Played a Role in Her Mom’s Relationship With Tiger Woods
Kai is an achieved golfer who has played within the Nicklaus Junior Championship and the Dustin Johnson World Junior Championship. She also played within the Junior Tournament on the Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville against Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie — and her passion for golf played a task in her mother’s relationship with the retired legend.
As sources near the family told People in March 2025, each Charlie and Kai are very talented at the game, and that helped connect their parents, who’ve been dating since Thanksgiving of last 12 months. “Their kids are going places in golf and each very disciplined concerning the sport. They’ve that in common,” the source explained.
Kai Will Play Her First LPGA Tour This Month

Kai will make her LPGA Tour debut this month, something she has been looking forward to for a very long time. “My dream has been to compete with the perfect on the earth on the LPGA Tour,” Kai said in an announcement. “This event might be an incredible experience. I stay up for meeting and competing against so a lot of my heroes and mentors in golf.”
