Where Do We Go From Here?

Cody Rhodes continues to be Undisputed WWE Champion after defeating Drew McIntyre, though his champion’s advantage was taken away when McIntyre demanded the stipulation be put in place on Friday’s episode of “WWE SmackDown.” That did not stop Rhodes, nevertheless, who was capable of hit McIntyre with a DDT right on the belt while the referee was downed within the corner. Now that Rhodes has once more defeated McIntyre, nevertheless, where does the story go for each of them?

If we all know anything about McIntyre’s character, it’s that he will whine about how Rhodes got the victory by cheating means. He’ll likely run the video again and again for “SmackDown” General Manager Nick Aldis and the gang, showing Rhodes use the title, complaining that he deserves one other fair shot on the gold. It’s truthfully possible that McIntyre could get one other shot, this time, in a No Holds Barred match or another sort of hardcore stipulation. If he couldn’t beat Rhodes by taking away the champion’s advantage, he could at all times try and lay him out in a Last Man Standing match or something.

Rhodes and McIntyre currently don’t exactly feel like they’d fit right into a WarGames match at Survivor Series this 12 months. So, they may run a street fight or something of the like between them on that premium live event, because it’s still marketed as one among the “Big 4” (or five, depending on who you ask) annual shows for WWE. If the corporate wanted to increase the story, they may run one other match between the boys at Saturday Night’s Most important Event next month, because it’s an enormous show with John Cena’s final match.

Randy Orton is hopefully going to come back into play somewhere in Rhodes’ story. Orton had been eyeing up the title, and will return to try and talk some sense into his friend, after Rhodes has been acting a bit of more aggressive, borderline heelish, in recent weeks. Orton will likely make his return to WWE TV ahead of Survivor Series, and even on the event, if Rhodes has a match. There’s also the thought floating across the web that Orton will probably be the one to activate Rhodes, and the champion’s heel turn teases straight away may very well be a misdirection for that.

It doesn’t feel like WWE will wish to put Rhodes in one other major feud before the top of the 12 months, so it looks like one other match with McIntyre is where they’re heading. To fresh things up, hopefully Orton makes his return somewhere along the road, though it doesn’t feel like “The Scottish Psycopath” is ever getting his hands on the Undisputed WWE Championship, at the very least not while “The American Nightmare” is holding the gold.
