In accordance with TMZ, D’Angelo was laid to rest at Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Henrico, Virginia, on Saturday, November 1. Per PEOPLE, the Soultronics and The Vanguard, two of the singer’s former bands, performed musical tributes in the course of the service. As well as, Stevie Wonder took the stage to sing a number of songs, including ‘If It’s Magic’ and ‘The Lord’s Prayer.’ Notably, TMZ reports that former President Barack Obama even sent a letter for the singer’s family to read in the course of the event.
