To be able to turn out to be Christy Martin, Sydney Sweeney underwent something resembling an actual life fight camp. She gave up her glamorous Hollywood lifestyle to embody considered one of the game’s most intriguing characters, and admits she has fallen in love with fighting.
“For about two and a half months, I might weight train within the morning for an hour, box three hours in the course of the day, after which one other hour of weight training at night,” Sweeney told Sportscasting.com. “I placed on 35lb and it was hard.
“I began dropping pounds once I upped my boxing time and had to seek out that balance, just continually pounding an increasing number of protein shakes.”
And at one point, she questioned if she can be willing to fight for real – an ambition she still harbours. “There was a moment in the course of filming where I used to be like, ‘Should I give all of it up and fight because I like this?’” she continued.
“Christy said she’d sign me up. So, this isn’t as hypothetical as you really think it’s. Yeah, I’d totally do a charity bout, that’d be so sick.”

It seems that the wheels have been put in motion for Sweeney to noticeably begin fighting, although she remained coy as to who she might tackle in what can be a charity exhibition.
“I feel what would get me through a fight is that I can take a punch,” she explained. “I wouldn’t quit… Who would I fight? It’s a surprise. You’ll should wait. I’m serious. You’ve got to remain tuned for the pay-per-view and also you’ll see it.”
While Martin claims to have some names within the hat as potential opponents, Sweeney admitted that she has yet to be approached by any promoters. As an alternative, she has simply been messaged by fighters.
She joked: “No person’s offered to get me into the ring. I actually have gotten some interesting DMs from some boxers though.”
