The actress – who became a household name by playing the titular character in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin from 2003 to 2006, is a well know name in Bollywood too because of her performances in projects similar to 3 Idiots, Lal Singh Chaddha, Munjya, Made in Heaven, The Ba***ds of Bollywood and more. When asked if playing Simran in Thode Door Thode Paas made her reflect on her own relationship with technology, Mona Singh replied, “Absolutely. I realised how often my phone pulls my attention without me even noticing. I’ve began keeping device-free hours and turning off unnecessary notifications. I attempt to be fully present after I’m with people. Technology is wonderful, however it shouldn’t run our lives.”
On being quizzed on how she manages being energetic on social media, provided that she is at all times in the general public eye, the ‘Ba***ds Of Bollywood’ actress said, “I select when I need to be online. I don’t feel pressured to consistently post. My team often says, “That is trending, you must share something,” and more often than not I just smile and say no. I post when it feels real — during promotions or when something personally moves me. Social media is great for connection, but real life happens offline. Keeping some moments only for myself and my family members keeps me grounded.”
