EXCLUSIVE! Children’s Day Special: Manpasand Ki Shaadi Fame Akshun Mahajan Reveals He Still Watches Batman, Dragon Ball Z

Akshun Mahajan, who has already won viewers’ hearts along with his charming screen presence and impressive performances, continues to shine with every recent project. The actor earned widespread love and appreciation for taking part in the lead role in Rajshri Productions’ Manpasand Ki Shaadi on Colours TV, where his natural acting and emotional range made him a standout favorite amongst fans.

On the occasion of Children’s Day today, Akshun Mahajan takes a nostalgic trip back to the moments, cartoons, and lessons that shaped the person he’s today.

Akshun Mahajan Reveals His Childhood Dreams

During an exclusive conversation, Akshun Mahajan reveals his childhood was full of superheroes, animated battles, and straightforward joys that also stick with him. For him, childhood entertainment meant two things – Batman and Dragon Ball Z. Akshun admits he still watches them each day, even when it’s only for five minutes. He shares, “It’s my way of reliving those old times,” Whether it’s early morning or late at night, these shows proceed to bring him comfort.

Interestingly, before acting entered his life, Akshun had a completely different dream — one inspired straight from the world of Goku. “I desired to go Super Saiyan.” As a toddler, Mahajan spent hours trying to rework into the powerful form he admired a lot. That childhood fantasy, he says, made him imagine in becoming stronger and evolving consistently.

These shows didn’t just entertain him; they shaped his values, too. Akshun credits Batman for teaching him loyalty, ethics, and the importance of staying true to 1’s path. From Dragon Ball Z, he learned the meaning of family and the importance of remembering your roots. He reflects, “These two cartoons played an enormous part in making me who I’m.”

Akshun Recalls Flying ‘A Lot’ Of Kites As A Kid

When asked a few childhood memory that also brings a smile, Akshun lights up immediately. He recalls long winters in Punjab spent flying kites on the terrace, especially through the January kite festival. He said, “I used to fly quite a lot of kites actually, the whole winter until Baisakhi. Easily certainly one of my fondest memories. And still, once I get the prospect, I do travel back home and I am going fly kites at my old terrace.”

This Children’s Day, Akshun Mahajan reminds us that the child inside us never really goes away – and perhaps, that’s the very best a part of growing up.
