A house in Detroit, Michigan, was destroyed by an explosion so strong it reduced the constructing to rubble and sent a shockwave that was felt several blocks away.
Residents in the realm felt their homes shake and heard a ‘boom’ at around 11am local time.
Debris was sent flying into the road and over neighbouring buildings, leaving little of the unique structure.
Fire officials say the home was vacant on the time and no person was injured.
Neighbours told local news that they’d smelled gas near the constructing.
Detroit Fire Department confirmed that one in all the neighbours had reported their suspicion of a gas leak.
It’s not clear if anything was done in response to the concerns.
The constructing in query was within the 19400 block of Forrer Street.
