A British woman has been killed after a tornado attributable to Storm Claudia ripped through a hotel in Portugal.
The 85-year-old was said to have been initially reported missing and later found dead.
Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa expressed his ‘solidarity with the family of the victim who died consequently of Storm Claudia’s passage this morning in Albufeira’.
Two more people have been seriously injured, while 26 were hurt this morning in Albufeira.
