Manchester United and Manchester City share an interest in Newcastle full-back Tino Livramento, with a 2026 transfer battle possible.

The 22-year-old has been at St James’ Park since a 2023 move from Southampton which was price an initial £32m.

He has impressed under Eddie Howe, making 88 appearances for the Magpies and winning his first three England caps.

His progress this season has been hampered by a knee injury and he has only managed eight outings in all competitions, however the defender is predicted to return later this month.

The Croydon-born defender will then hope to be back within the Newcastle starting line-up and perform well enough to book a spot at next 12 months’s World Cup.

GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs told The United Strand that the Red Devils even have an interest within the versatile defender who can play at full-back on either flank.

He notes that Manchester United’s director of football, Jason Wilcox, held the identical position at Southampton when Livramento played for the Saints.
