Court documents identified the players who were stabbed as Joshua Underwood and JaSire Peterson, each defensive linemen, per the Associated Press.

Daniel Mincey Faces Criminal Charges
Authorities wrote in charging documents that Daniel Mincey stabbed each men with a knife. Nonetheless, court documents filed in Jefferson County didn’t describe what led as much as the alleged assault before Saturday’s game. The stabbing happened on campus on the Football Operations Constructing, hours before UAB’s Blazers played the University of South Florida, officials said. It’s unclear who found the stabbing victims.

The team’s online roster describes Daniel Mincey as a 6-foot-4 redshirt freshman from Pompano Beach, Florida. He was previously on the University of Kentucky. Court records reportedly didn’t immediately show if Mincey had a lawyer who could comment on the case. There are not any additional details about his arrest.

UAB Moves Forward With Remaining Football Games
UAB Athletic Director Mark Ingram spoke at a news conference on Monday, saying, “Saturday was a really sad day for UAB football and for UAB athletics.”
