Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier go back-and-forth on Thanksgiving
While most of America was having fun with Thanksgiving dinner with their families, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier were sniping at one another on social media. It began with the latter commenting on a clip of his rival in Russia on a recent visit and devolved from there.
“Why is Jon Jones not along with his family on Thanksgiving holiday?” Cormier asked in an Instagram comments section. Ever a competitor, Jones wouldn’t take that sitting down and immediately needed to clap back.

“I desired to take the day out to say Comfortable Thanksgiving to the individuals who aren’t with their family and friends today,” Jones said in a video while petting a dog. “Comfortable Thanksgiving, and if nobody tells you that they love you today, I like you and Dutch [the dog] loves you… Have a blessed day, we love you.”
But he then made a rather more pointed dig at Cormier on social media, recalling their two fights in a post that was viewed over 780,000 times. He infamously won each of their meetings within the cage, although his 2017 knockout of Cormier was overturned to a No Contest after a failed drugs test.
“Imagine a person getting his a– kicked,” Jones began. “And years later he’s still pondering how I spend my holidays. Brother, that’s not concern that’s an extended term rental. Utilities included.”
