Jaydev Unadkat becomes the very best wicket-taker in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy history, going past Siddharth Kaul with 121 wickets for Saurashtra.

Star India medium-pacer Jaydev Unadkat, on Sunday, November 30, went past Siddharth Kaul to develop into the very best wicket-taker within the history of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, after he picked one wicket in Saurashtra’s game against Delhi at his home ground in Ahmedabad.
Unadkat and Kaul had 120 wickets to their names each and with Delhi skipper Nitish Rana’s (76) wicket on Sunday, the previous went past Kaul.
Kaul finished his profession with 120 wickets in 87 matches, picked at a mean of 18.25. Unadkat now has 121 wickets from 83 games, at a powerful economy of 6.79.
Put in to bat first, Delhi posted a whopping 207/4, riding on Yash Dhull’s 30-ball 47, Rana’s 76, Ayush Badoni’s 25-ball 33, wicketkeeper Anuj Rawat’s eight-ball 17 and Himmat Singh’s six-ball 18.
Within the chase, Vishvaraj Jadeja and wicketkeeper Harvik Desai added 45 runs for the opening partnership before the latter was dismissed by Suyash Sharma.
Saurashtra soon found themselves at 117/4 before Parswaraj Rana and Ruchit Ahir added 39 runs for the fifth wicket. After the previous needed to retire hurt, Ahir and Luckyraj Vaghela added 41 runs for the sixth wicket, but they might manage only 197 of their 20 overs.
Suyash finished with match-winning figures of 4-0-20-3.

Unadkat has picked 250 wickets in 209 T20s, picked at a mean of 23.64.
