Niamh Cullen Says ‘Home Has Never Not Been Empty’ After Husband’s Death

Irish influencer Niamh Cullen is opening up about life without her late husband, Jamie Gill, following his premature death at age 33.

“Our home has never not been empty,” Cullet wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, November 29, over a black-and-white photo of her late husband holding a dog while pictured of their home.

“I cannot even find the words to elucidate my unwavering support and love from my family and friends,” she continued.

In previous Instagram Stories, Cullen shared tributes to her husband from those that knew him.

“I feel so lucky to have known Jamie, and so grateful to Niamh for bringing him into our lives as he has left such a mark on it,” one family friend wrote. “The care Niamh gave Jamie this yr was one in all the deepest displays of true love I’ve ever seen, and while I’ve at all times been so proud to call Niamh my friend, this yr has unlocked a brand new level of unconditional love and respect for her.”

Hours earlier, Cullen announced her husband’s death after a yr’s long battle with cancer.

“The unimaginable has happened. Our worst nightmare. My beautiful husband has been taken from us,” she wrote via Instagram. “The sunshine of my life. I used to be the luckiest to be loved and adored by you Jamie. I really like you endlessly, not only now, but eternally.”

Alongside her social media tribute, the “Unveiled” podcaster shared footage of Gill twirling her around while standing atop an ottoman.

“This video for me shows our unconditional love, fun and laughter ❤️‍🩹,” Cullen concluded. “I’m broken.”

The pair had just said “I do” one yr prior, in November 2024, days before Gill was diagnosed with cancer.

“Last weekend marked one yr of our marriage. Nothing could have prepared us for the journey that was ahead,” Cullen wrote via Instagram in celebration of the pair’s one-year wedding anniversary. “Sooner or later 3 of our wedding, Jamie became seriously unwell. What was meant to be a minimoon in Rome became 10 days within the hospital.”

After returning to their home country of Ireland, doctors discovered Gill was affected by a malignant tumor.

“Just two weeks before Christmas, Jamie underwent major surgery, where doctors discovered a cancerous tumor,” she explained on the time. “Our world shattered straight away, but we stayed strong. Jamie bravely faced 10 rounds of chemotherapy. There have been ups and downs along the way in which, but nothing could have prepared us for what followed after his tenth session.”
