Kelly Dodd has had some ups and downs together with her family throughout the years.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum — who starred on the Bravo show from season 11 to season 15 — was born in 1975 in Scottsdale, Arizona, to oldsters Frank Meza and Bobbi Meza. She has two brothers: JR Meza and Eric Meza.
After her marriage to Scott Silva from 2001 to 2004, Kelly moved on with Michael Dodd and the pair tied the knot in 2006. They welcomed a daughter, Jolie Dodd, in 2006 before ultimately divorcing in 2018. (Kelly later married Rick Leventhal in 2020.)
While Kelly’s relationship together with her family has been tumultuous at times, the Bravo personality made headlines in November 2025 after an alleged voicemail message that Kelly left for Jolie went viral.
Even though it’s unclear when the message was sent, the voicemail was allegedly for certainly one of Jolie’s friends to pass on to Jolie after her daughter blocked her “from the whole lot.”
“You simply opened a Pandora’s box Jolie. I actually have recordings of you, screaming at your dad because he isn’t taking you on vacation, screaming that he didn’t buy you a automobile,” Kelly said within the voice note footage that went viral on social media. “Do you remember those recordings that I saved? I actually have those and I’m going to publicly put them on the market. Do you understand?”
Although Kelly has yet to say anything in regards to the leaked voicemail, her younger brother, Eric, claimed in a social media video that he was glad that the “truth prevailed.”

Kelly’s parents, Bobbi and Frank, share three children: JR, Kelly and Eric.
Throughout the years, Kelly has spoken about her strained relationship together with her mom at times.
During season 14 of RHOC, Kelly shared that there was a rift between her, Bobbi and Eric after they lived in Kelly’s house within the OC.
“My mother was telling sensitive information to my brother after which causing problems,” Kelly explained on RHOC’s season 14 “After Show” in December 2019.
Nevertheless, in late 2019, Kelly revealed that things were “superb” between her mom and Eric.
“I’m on really good terms with my brother and my mom,” she shared with Entertainment Tonight in September 2019. “There’s this really good thing in regards to the show is that it really brought my mom and my brother [and me] back together.”
Nearly six years later, Eric alleged on social media that “no one talks to” Kelly, including their mother and their father, who Eric said claimed Kelly was a “horrible daughter.”
“I don’t check with her, her nieces and nephews don’t check with her, her mother doesn’t check with her,” Eric shared in several social media videos in August 2025. “That’s self-explanatory. Doesn’t that let you know something about someone?”
In response to Eric’s claims, Kelly shared a video of her calling her dad.
“He said that you simply said that I’m a terrible daughter and that I’m the worst person on the face of this earth,” she said on the phone, adding that she knows “why Mom doesn’t check with me — it’s due to him.”
“He’s so filled with s***,” Frank responded within the video before noting that Eric is “worse than s***” and that “he’s sick.”
Atop the video posted via Instagram, Kelly wrote, “My brother is a psycho! His own dad can’t stand him!”

Kelly’s oldest brother is JR. While not much is thought about his personal life, JR is a franchise business consultant for SafeSplash Swim Schools in Scottsdale, Arizona, per his LinkedIn profile.

Kelly’s youngest brother is Eric. Things went downhill between her and Eric after Kelly revealed that he and their mom stayed at her house for nearly a 12 months and a half — nevertheless, Eric claimed that was false.
“Kelly begged me and my mom to maneuver into her house when Bravo hired her, because our family was a part of a package deal,” Eric claimed in an interview with AllAboutTheTea.com in September 2018. “The one reason she got on the show was because Bravo interviewed me and my mom for five hours, they usually were sold on our unique family dynamic. That’s the one reason we lived together with her, not because we wanted a spot to remain.”
Eric alleged that he moved him and his mom out of Kelly’s house because Kelly was “mentally, emotionally and physically” abusing Bobbi.

“I felt like my mom and Eric were profiting from me, and it caused my mom and me to get in a giant, huge fight. They moved back to Arizona,” she shared on an episode of RHOC in September 2019.
Things seemingly were good between Eric and Kelly up until he claimed in August 2025 on social media that “no one talks” to Kelly of their family and that Kelly is a “terrible mom.”
Kelly went on to disclaim the claims together with her dad in an Instagram Story, alleging that Eric is “so filled with s***.”
Meanwhile, after the alleged voicemail from Kelly to Jolie was released in November 2025, Eric revealed via social media videos that he was comfortable that the “truth prevailed.”
“You may obviously see the projecting that she’s done on me, my mom, Jolie, her nieces, nephews, everybody, brothers, JR, everyone … You may see the demonic entity coming out, spewing out of her mouth,” he claimed. “It’s evident that everybody can see she has a black heart.”
While Eric noted that “it’s pretty incomprehensible” why she would say things like that to Jolie, that he’s been attempting to “tell everybody” about how Kelly is for years.
“She’s been projecting that onto me, attempting to make me appear like the bad guy, but everyone knows who the bad guy really is. So the reality comes out,” he alleged, adding that Kelly has “some serious problems” and was “severely mentally in poor health.”
Scott Silva
Kelly was married to Arizona lawyer Scott Silva from 2001 to 2004.
Michael Dodd
Following her divorce from Silva, Kelly moved on with Michael Dodd. The pair got married in 2006 before welcoming their daughter, Jolie, that very same 12 months. Although the couple briefly split in 2012, they rekindled their romance up until 2017 when Kelly revealed she was planning to file for divorce from Michael.
“Our marriage is over, I’m out of there!” Kelly told the Every day Mail in an interview published in September 2017. “We’ve had problems for years and I’ve had enough. I’m done with our marriage. It’s only a case where two people can’t get along. It’s best if we went our separate ways and think about our daughter.”

In November 2025, video footage was leaked of an alleged voicemail that Kelly sent Jolie’s friend after her daughter blocked her “from the whole lot.”

Kelly began dating reporter Rick Leventhal in summer 2019 after meeting at a barbecue within the Hamptons. The couple got engaged in November 2019 before tying the knot in October 2020.
Rick and Kelly proceed to indicate moments of their marriage on social media.
