‘We now have to attempt to turn the page as quickly as possible. It’s only three points.
‘We now have the Champions League game against City to react in, and get this bad taste out of our mouths.’

Asked if his job was on the road ahead of Real Madrid’s clash with Man City, Alonso added: ‘We’re playing for 3 Champions League points, that’s it.
‘We’re in a very good position [in the Champions League], that’s what’s at stake. We would like to perform well and play higher than we did today.
‘We’re all united, knowing that that is football, in fact. We now have to look forward. The demand we all know what it’s, the defeats hurt lots, but you may have to look forward.

‘It’s the responsibility of all of this, together we must assume to do things well. We all know that the points that go are necessary, but not decisive.’

Man City lost 6-3 on aggregate to Real Madrid in last season’s Champions League and Guardiola hopes his team ‘play like who we’re’ this time around.
‘It’s never a simple place,’ former Barcelona manager Guardiola said.
‘We missed a possibility against Leverkusen to be close but we’re going to do our game and we now have three options to get the points we want to go there [the knockout phase].
‘It’s one other competition. Hopefully we are able to play like we’re. At all times I wish once you go to play on the massive stages is play like who we’re.’
