Former NFL player Trevone Boykin finally spoke out following his controversial comments about Russell Wilson’s Thanksgiving dinner, and he’s serving up an apology hotter than Little Caesar’s pizza. On the most recent episode of the ‘House of Playmakers’ podcast, Boykin addressed the situation directly, admitting he could have handled his words higher when he previously called Wilson’s gathering “weird.”

Trevone Drags Wilson Thanksgiving Dinner, Apologizes After
In the course of the Friday episode, Boykin explained that as “a child from Dallas, Texas” who grew up in “a standard household” where family at all times got here together, he initially perceived Russell Wilson’s catered Thanksgiving with no family present as unusual. He admitted he must have provided more context for his remark and acknowledged that the Wilson household never asked for his or her private life to be discussed publicly. Boykin also apologized specifically to Ciara’s son, Future, stressing that he shared a moment from “10 years ago” and that they “didn’t deserve” to have personal details aired.
He continued by saying that he’s still latest to podcasting, with the show having fewer than 10 episodes, and that mistakes are a part of the training curve. Boykin emphasized that his intent wasn’t to disrespect anyone, particularly Russell Wilson or his family, and made it clear he hopes to keep up good standing with Future fans while being more mindful about what he shares publicly moving forward.

In case you missed it, a clip of Trevone Boykin spilling a couple of past Thanksgiving at Russell Wilson and Ciara’s house recently resurfaced on social media and chile… the best way he described it had folks talking. He labeled the intimate gathering “weird” since Russell’s family wasn’t there and added that if he had Russell’s money and Alaska Airlines hookup, he’d be flying everyone out for a flowery feast. The dinner reportedly included just Ciara, Russell, the nanny, Baby Future, Trevone, and a number of others—but at the top of the day, it’s Russ and Ciara’s celebration, they usually get to select who makes the guest list.

Ever since Russell Wilson’s mom went off Trevone Boykin hasn’t been the identical. In a resurfaced post making the rounds, Tammy Wilson didn’t hold back after Boykin commented on her son’s Thanksgiving, stepping boldly into TSR’s comment section with a full-on sermon. Tammy clocked him with Russ “thought enough of you, who has a criminal history, to like you adequate to ask you over,” and “I hope you felt relevant for a number of minutes.” Whew! And, if that wasn’t enough, Boykin also caught major backlash from Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson during their podcast, leaving him fully in the new seat.
