Karan Tacker Reveals Experiencing Sleepless Nights While Shooting Bhay
When asked if he experienced any spooky dreams, sleepless nights or overthinking while shooting Bhay, Karan Tacker responded, “I don’t need to sound overly indulgent as an actor, but especially when it got here to playing this part, I actually found it difficult to modify off from the heaviness of what I do on set after which come back home. I’ve said this multiple times, and I’m not ashamed to confess it. There have been over and over I’ve messaged my mom on my way back from work, saying, ‘Mom, can you only look forward to me? Have a cup of tea with me. Or possibly lie down next to me until I’m going to sleep.’ Because if this had been only a fictitious horror show, where you’re simply constructing a personality, and it’s all make-believe, it could be different.”
He continued, “But because you’re coping with an actual person’s story—someone who passed away in a really unlucky incident—it stays with you. Gaurav, in his previous couple of months, kept telling his family members how uncomfortable he felt and that something was improper. I took that as motivation for my character, keeping it inside me, and that anxiety just kept constructing. It really weighs on you at times. I’ve never had an issue disconnecting from my characters before, but this one left me feeling very uncomfortable. At the top of it, I’m truthfully just pleased with the way it turned out. I hope we are able to honour Gaurav Tiwari and his entire team, and carry their legacy forward. I’d prefer to think we are able to rejoice him in a small way, and I’m really grateful for this experience.”
