Indian pacer Shardul Thakur, traded to Mumbai Indians from Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 2 crore ahead of IPL 2026, is looking forward to playing along with former captain Rohit Sharma next season. Thakur praised Rohit’s leadership while adding that the latter gave him the liberty to precise himself.

The 34-year-old bowler, who participated in India’s Test tour of England earlier this 12 months, looks forward to reviving the memorable times at MI. “Abhi aur pata chalega jab saath me baithenge toh. Kaafi masti hogi,” said Shardul, desirous to reunite along with his ‘chaos partner’ Rohit.

There have been speculations over the long-term way forward for the senior batter with India given the subsequent ODI World Cup might be played in 2027, and by then, he could have turned 40.

Rohit has shown good form recently, having scored a century and three fifties in his last five ODI innings. Nonetheless, India head coach Gautam Gambhir desires to stay in the current without speculating over the possible squad for the subsequent World Cup.
