Actress Jane Seymour Talks Being ‘Very Sexually Lively’ At 74

Jane Seymour has revealed she feels many years younger as she approaches 75, and stays thriving in life and love with rocker John Zambetti.

The actress credits her youthful energy to staying energetic and keen about her work, often powering through 12 to 14-hour shoots.

Seymour, who will turn 75 next February, says she’s still thriving each professionally and personally, particularly in her romance with rocker and ER doctor Zambetti.

Speaking with People Magazine, the “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” star admitted that she often feels much younger than her age.

“I even have to truly get up within the morning and remind myself how old I’m,” she said. “Because within me, I’d say I still feel like I’m possibly about 40 or 50, possibly 40.”

Seymour noted, “I do not know where all that point went, but I even have the energy that I had once I was 40.”

During her conversation with People, Seymour revealed she still thrives on long days on set. The actress said she often works 12 to 14-hour shoots while not having cue cards, memorizing extensive scripts with ease.

“I keep working, and I keep pushing myself to be higher at what it’s that I do because I really like what I do — I believe it keeps me young,” she explained.

Reflecting on her iconic role as Kathleen Cleary in “Wedding Crashers,” including her daring topless scene, Seymour emphasized that ladies over 50 might be each sexy and assured.

“I turn 75 next yr, and I’m very sexually energetic,” she shared. Seymour added that characters like Kathleen and her role in “Harry Wild” are supposed to encourage: showing that it’s never too late to fall in love and that feeling attractive has no age limit.

Before meeting her beau, Zambetti, in 2023, Seymour had been married 4 times and had 4 children: Katherine, 42, and Sean, 38, with ex-husband David Flynn, and twins John and Kristopher, 28, with ex-husband James Keach.

Her romance with Zambetti was sparked by a blind date orchestrated by their children at a Shwayze concert.

Reflecting on their first date during an interview on the “Tamron Hall” Show last yr, Seymour said, “We ended up having a really, very long chat the following day with a cup of tea, which ended up having dinner. He’s essentially the most wonderful, loving, extraordinary man. He’s an ER doctor, very handy. And he’s had a rock band for the last 60 years called The Malibooz with Walter Egan.”

Zambetti echoed the sentiment in a 2023 People interview, crediting their children for bringing them together.

In her recent chat with People, Seymour shared that fans often reach out to thank her for setting an example of confidence and vitality.

“I sort of have turn out to be, ultimately, almost a poster child for there may be life after 70. And I say the word 70 — there’s nothing about me that appears like that,” she said. “I sort of have a look at my mother when she was alive, and at 50, I’d say she was middle-aged. I do not feel that way in any respect.”

Seymour noted that at her age, she still feels “very energized,” greater than among the young people she meets on set. “I work longer and harder and adore it.”

The “Live and Let Die” alum also revealed that she’s way more open-minded about life today and refuses to decelerate.

“I’ve got these individuals who keep saying to me, ‘Are you going to unload? Are you going to downsize? Are you going to wind down?’ I am going like, ‘Watch this space. I’m winding up, okay?'” she said.

The actress’s legendary profession began together with her role as Bond girl Solitaire in “Live and Let Die” (1973), and greater than 50 years later, she says she’s still fully embracing life.

“I call it experiential living,” she explained. “I only need to spend my time doing things that I’m keen about, that I actually enjoy.”

Seymour continued, “And I make sure that that, even when it’s work, that I turn it right into a fun life experience.”
