Rapper Busta Rhymes made headlines overnight when two videos of him appearing to ascertain streamers who seemingly trolled him went viral. Rhymes, real name Trevor George Smith Jr., was at an art event in Miami, Florida, when he found himself in a sticky situation not once, but twice, sparking outrage from the rapper and a few divided responses from fans online.

Within the video, obtained by TMZ, Rhymes let a young streamer have it after he called the rap legend “Tracy Morgan” at Art Basel in Miami.
“Wait, what did you say?” Rhymes may very well be heard saying within the video. “Put your camera down,” he said to the streamer’s friends around them.
Rhymes expressed his frustration, implying that he felt disrespected because he was attempting to “show love” by taking pictures.
“… and also you’re attempting to be funny … You do not play with a grown man, little boy. That is how people get f-cked up,” he said.

Busta Rhymes Unleashes On Young Streamer As He Tries To Explain His Actions
The tense interaction didn’t stop there, though. Rhymes pressed further, demanding the young streamer explain his actions.
“I’m asking you a matter, I ain’t calling you out,” he said. “I don’t understand. … That’s the one way I can understand, by asking questions.”
Rhymes asked whether the streamer was “attempting to be funny,” to which he replied, “Everyone was saying Tracy so I used to be saying Tracy.”
The moment lasted a bit of longer before the streamer walked away, leaving everyone around them stunned on the exchange.

Busta Rhymes Presses One other Streamer After They Told Him To ‘Stay Black’
In one other incident, Rhymes clashed with one other streamer who told the “Break Ya Neck” rapper to “stay black” before heading into the event.
“So what else I’m alleged to be? You a clown now too?” Rhymes asked the person, to which he replied, explaining that the phrase was his slogan. “F-ck you mean ‘stay black?’ I do not know that slogan. Don’t say it to me. I’m not joking with you.”

Fans Share Their Divided Reactions To Rhymes’ Outbursts
It didn’t take long for social media users to chime in on the viral incidents, generating mixed reactions. Based on one user, within the viral clip, Rhymes did resemble Morgan. One other user said, “He ain’t too far off.”
Others joined in on the joke, with one writing, “Well now I am unable to unsee it, Busta Morgan,” while one other shared, “I didn’t understand how much they looked alike, though.”
A handful of other social media users shared differing opinions, claiming Rhymes handled the situations the fallacious way.
“These celebrities too comfortable,” someone posted, while one other said, “I might’ve kept talking.”
On X, some social media users praised the 53-year-old for standing his ground.
“THIS is what must occur EVERY TIME Y’ALL play with people for some engagement,” someone posted.

Rhymes Honored With Visionary Award In 2025

Other than the uncomfortable situations Rhymes found himself in outside of Art Basel in Miami, the rapper had some accomplishments to have fun in 2025, including his Rock the Bells Visionary Award on the VMAs.
Based on Rhymes, receiving the award was a special feeling for him due to the exertions he’s put in over time to be labeled probably the greatest.
“It’s one thing to have a vision while you were a fan, and also you were still in single-digit age, and also you was being [babysat] ’cause your mom and your dad was busting a-s to ensure that you had all the things you needed, and also you fell in love with this thing,” he said. “And you simply thought at some point, by the grace of God that you simply would get a likelihood to be an element of this.”

Rhymes got candid when speaking about finally being given the prospect to do what he loved most and profiting from his opportunity.
“… then you definately gotta be higher than the win you secured and higher than that win that you simply secured.
