Liverpool legend Ian Rush spent around 48 hours in intensive care after affected by beathing difficulties.
The 64-year-old, who stays Liverpool’s all-time leading scorer with 346 goals, was taken to Countess of Chester Hospital after falling ailing at home last week.
In response to the Every day Mail, Rush was taken to hospital ‘inside minutes’ after concerns were raised.
The report adds that Rush is ‘recovering well’ and is claimed to be ‘in good spirits’, although he stays in hospital.
It’s suspected that Rush is a victim of the ‘superflu’ outbreak which has swept the country.

Earlier this week, the NHS was warned that the UK is facing a ‘tidal wave’ of infections as a consequence of the brand new strain of flu.
A Liverpool spokesperson thanked hospital staff and said: ‘Everyone at Liverpool wishes him a speedy recovery.’

Rush, who stays a Liverpool ambassador, won five league titles, five League Cups, three FA Cups and two European Cups during his playing profession at Anfield.
Rush was also Wales’ top scorer with 28 goals before his record was broken by Gareth Bale in 2018.
The 64-year-old remains to be a daily at Liverpool games having retired in 2000.
