World No. 1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma entered his name within the history books on Sunday (December 14) by becoming the fastest Indian batter by way of innings taken to hit 300 sixes in T20s. Abhishek needed three sixes within the third India-South Africa T20I to succeed in the 300 sixes mark in T20s, and he achieved the feat through the fifth over of the run chase. On the primary ball of the fifth over, he hammered Ottneil Baartman for a six to take his tally of sixes to 300 within the 20-over format of the sport.
Abhishek needed only 163 innings to finish a triple century of sixes in T20s. Before him the record of being the fastest Indian to hit 300 sixes in T20s was within the name of KL Rahul.
Rahul smacked his three hundredth six within the 205th T20 innings. Suryakumar Yadav is third on the list. He scored his three hundredth six within the 251st T20 match.
Abhishek opened his and India’s account by smacking Lungi Ngidi for a six on the primary ball of the run chase, and his second six of the match got here on the last ball of the second over bowled by Marco Jansen.
