Rob Reiner Dead at 78 With Wife Michele in Apparent Homicide

UPDATE — 12/14/25 at 11 p.m. ET  Legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, have reportedly been found dead after being stabbed to death of their Los Angeles home.

A report published by TMZ on Sunday, December 14, stated that law enforcement sources told the outlet that two bodies found on the couple’s Brentwood residence were “the Reiners.”

The outlet stated that the pair “suffered lacerations consistent with a knife” and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division is “still investigating.”

The pair’s alleged death was also reported by People on Sunday evening.

Two people have allegedly been found dead contained in the West Los Angeles home of Rob Reiner and wife Michele Reiner.

In response to a report published by TMZ on Sunday, December 14, the Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the couple’s property at “around 3:30 PM PT … for medical aid” on Sunday.

The outlet reported that authorities “found a person roughly 78, and a lady, roughly 68” on the residence. The Los Angeles Police Department was said to have attended the scene 10 minutes after the Fire Department arrived.
