Tom Aspinall has claimed that it might take a move into a distinct sport for him to finally fight Francis Ngannou.
The heavyweight showdown was never on the cards during Ngannou’s initial UFC run because the Brit was only rising through the ranks on the time. But now as two of the champions of the division, there’s keen interest in seeing the 2 massive punchers compete.
Tom Aspinall vs Francis Ngannou in boxing, what do you think that?
Nonetheless, Ngannou is way from Dana White’s list of fighters he wants back and the likelihood of Aspinall making a PFL appearance are next to zero. In consequence, they could need to fight out each of their respective deals to fight in a boxing match.

Tom Aspinall is realistic about boxing ambitions after UFC run
Tom Aspinall recently appeared in a video on his YouTube channel with old friend and training partner Tommy Fury, where they discussed potential big fights. Aspinall admitted that he couldn’t pursue major title ambitions at his age, but they did discuss potential money fights that he could soak up boxing. “I couldn’t attempt to be a world champion,” the Brit admitted. “I don’t know.
“You must dedicate your whole life to becoming a world champion, but I’ve spent my whole life doing MMA now haven’t I? For me to be 33 after which think I’m going to win a world title in boxing is unrealistic.”

Tom Aspinall desires to fight Francis Ngannou in boxing ‘freak show’ fight
As an alternative of facing legitimate boxers, Aspinall believes that the strategy to go is taking up stars from the MMA cage who intend to make the switch to the ring.
“I reckon I could have a few, like, not freak show fights but big fights, you already know what I mean?” He continued. “An enormous name or something… I wouldn’t mind boxing an MMA fighter.”

When Fury suggested that he fight Ngannou contained in the ring, Aspinall replied “I feel that may be good, I prefer it.” Nonetheless, he noted that he has multiple fights left to fret about within the UFC before he thinks about boxing.
Ngannou is signed to the PFL, but has famously negotiated a deal that permits him to take high profile boxing matches. And he has earned thousands and thousands fighting heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
