Jake Paul believes he can replicate considered one of Anthony Joshua’s previous losses in ‘very similar’ fight

Jake Paul is confident that he’s already got one over Anthony Joshua.

While Paul has admitted that he doesn’t see a path to victory against some fighters, he clearly doesn’t feel the identical way about his next bout.

His return on December 19 brings a number of firsts for the boxing star even when he’s actually not latest to putting on big fights that generate a number of attention.

For this fight, Paul has been training alongside larger sparring partners as a way to get used to what it’ll be prefer to share the ring with a heavyweight.

‘The Problem Child’ recently revealed that he believes his biggest advantage heading into his clash with Joshua is that he’s been in a position to somewhat level the playing field.

Jake Paul believes he can beat Anthony Joshua with skill like Oleksandr Usyk did

Anthony Joshua’s weight updates ahead of December 19 have made it very clear that he isn’t going to struggle to pass the restrictions which were placed over him.

It has been argued by the likes of Joe Rogan that forcing Joshua to chop down will actually backfire on Jake Paul.

On one hand, the stipulation that ‘AJ’ can’t weigh greater than 245 kilos goes to force the heavyweight to be focused and in great condition.

Paul, nonetheless, disagrees and believes that Joshua’s decision to conform to these terms will negatively impact him within the fight.

“He’s taken away his neatest thing against me, which is his power,” Paul said during a face-to-face interview with Joshua via MVP. “We’ve seen him when he’s a little bit bit lighter and there’s just not as much thump on the punches and I feel that’s probably one of the best thing he could have had, that extra oomph.”

By taking away a few of his opponent’s physical benefits, Paul claimed that the fight will likely be decided by a battle of skill, which he believes he can win in similar fashion to the one man to have beaten Joshua twice.

“He’s a really basic fighter and he’s gotten to where he’s at due to the dimensions and since of the facility,” Paul continued. “So, the talents are what’s going to win this fight and we’ve seen that with [Oleksandr] Usyk when he fought him so I imagine it’s going to be very just like that.”

Oleksandr Usyk has his own interests in mind ahead of Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua

When asked in regards to the fight, Oleksandr Usyk expressed legitimate concern with regard to Jake Paul’s health ahead of his Netflix bout against Anthony Joshua.

The Ukrainian is the person accountable for handing ‘AJ’ half of his pro losses, beating the Brit in back-to-back contests in 2021 and 2022.

Usyk is specifically thinking about this fight because he still hopes to compete against Paul in MMA once he’s wrapped up his boxing profession within the near future.

He recently told Boxing Scene that he’ll pray for ‘The Problem Child’ within the hopes that he doesn’t suffer substantial damage that will remove the possibilities of this happening.
