James Cameron is considered one of the most important filmmakers on the earth who has given fans gems like Titanic and the Avatar franchise. In India, his equivalent is widely known filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who has delivered box office hits just like the Baahubali franchise, RRR, Magadheera, Eega and more. While Cameron’s third film within the Avatar franchise, Fire and Ash, releases this Friday, Rajamouli is currently busy shooting his next, Varanasi.
Recently, Cameron and Rajamouli connected over a video session and praised one another and well because the project they’ve created. In the course of the interaction, James even expressed his wish to go to the sets of Varanasi and watch the Indian ace director in motion. Scroll below to examine their interaction.
James Cameron Wants To Visit SS Rajamouli On Varanasi Sets
In the course of the video session, James Cameron is heard saying, “I feel it’s vital for filmmakers to speak and compare similarities of their mental creative process and of their technique and so forth. I’d love to come back to your set. May I come to your set sometime and watch you create your magic?” To this, SS Rajamouli, answered, “Oh, that will be an absolute pleasure, sir. You might be most welcome. I mean, not only me, not only my unit, my entire film industry shall be thrilled.”
Continuing further, James said, “I can’t consider anything I’d somewhat do. I feel you’re shooting for some time, right, on the brand new film on Varanasi?” The ‘RRR’ filmmaker answered, “Yes, sir. It’s almost a 12 months now and one other seven, eight months to go. Yes, we’re in the midst of the shoot.” Hearing this, the ‘Titanic’ maker said, “Okay, loads of time. Well, tell me if you’re doing something fun. I don’t know, something with tigers.”
Rajamouli Praises Avatar Fire and Ash
The love shared between the ace filmmakers is mutual and the ‘Baahubali’ director praising James Cameron’s upcoming fantasy motion, Avatar Fire And Ash is proof. In the course of the same video interaction, Rajamouli thanked Cameron for letting him watch Avatar 3 before anyone else in India and said, “I would love to thanks since you made me the primary person, or probably the one person, amongst 1.45 billion Indians to look at Avatar: Fire and Ash. That feels very special.”
He then praised the film, sharing his thoughts on how he felt while watching it. The ‘Magadheera’ director said, “Watching Fire and Ash was an absolute pleasure. Hats off to you for creating those complex sequences, visuals and characters. I can go on and on. I used to be like a baby within the theatre watching the Wind Traders, the Ash People, the brand new characters. Varang was absolutely stunning.” He further revealed that it was Jake Sully, the previous human, who kept him hooked, stating. He was quoted saying, “But I assumed, for me, after I come back from the theatre, it wouldn’t leave my mind. What really got me hooked was Jake’s moral dilemma. I assumed the primary Avatar had it; it was so strong. I assumed, can he ever beat it? But I feel on this, it is far stronger.”
