It looks like AdHoc’s previously announced Critical Role game is not going to get in the best way of a possible second season of Dispatch, as even Critical Role’s CEO desires to see it “as soon as possible”.
From the moment the web began arguing about whether Invisigal is best for Robert than Blonde Blazer, I feel all of us knew that Dispatch was going to be a success. It’s one among the largest surprises of 2025, and has had people begging for a second season as soon as the primary officially wrapped up just a few weeks ago.
Although AdHoc seems pleased to do more Dispatch, it’s turn out to be pretty clear that it hadn’t planned for Dispatch to be quite the hit that it’s, and definitely wasn’t considering ahead to Season 2. Essentially the most recent update we have had on a possible second season is when AdHoc revealed it was days away from sitting down and deciding on the matter, which might need just got somewhat easier.
Critical Role Want To See Dispatch Season 2 Just As Much As We All Do
Looks Like AdHoc Has Its Full Support, Even With The Critical Role Game In Development
Certainly one of the important thing arguements that some fans have made for Dispatch season 2 not happening is that AdHoc is already working on a brand new game, one which’s set in Critical Role’s world of Exandria. Since Critical Role was, pardon the pun, critical in getting Dispatch out in the primary place, many have assumed that it could get in the best way of Dispatch season 2, especially with AdHoc recognising the time constraints.
Well, it looks as if which may not actually be a difficulty in any case. Over on the Dispatch subreddit, Trickside shared a video of the Critical Role team speaking at a GalaxyCon convention. Within the video, Critical Role’s CEO, Travis Willingham, took a moment to shout out Dispatch and AdHoc, while commenting on the season two situation.
Willingham noted that, “similar to everybody else”, the Critical Role team desires to see Season 2 as quickly as possible. That already makes it sound just like the Dispatch team has the green light to give attention to a second season, but Willingham noted that there is been a conversation about how the team can do each, and how one can prioritise.
Similar to everybody else, we wish to see Season 2 stuff as quickly as possible. So, there is a conversation around can we do each, how will we prioritise that stuff, after which also having latest conversations with other partners. – Travis Willingham
In fact, all of it is dependent upon whether AdHod actually desires to make a second season of Dispatch, which remains to be yet to be said. Either way, it’ll take an honest period of time to get going, nevertheless it’s nice to know that the Critical Role team is 100% behind AdHoc whatever happens.
