When sharing his thoughts on the fight in an interview with Bloody Elbow, Conor McGregor highlighted something that he’s noticed about Anthony Joshua up to now.
We saw throughout fight week that while ‘AJ’ was joking around and in high spirits, he was very serious about putting Jake Paul away with no time for games.
The previous two-time heavyweight champion’s patience was tested before he was capable of put together the ending blows with ruthless efficiency.
“I’ve been ringside to look at Joshua and that could be a heavy punching man,” McGregor said. “And he’s a glad and good person, but he has an anger in him, he has a darkness, does Anthony Joshua. I don’t think lots of people suss that.”
