Arman Tsarukyan knows that point waits for no man despite him being on the precipice of a light-weight title shot.
Throughout 2025, Arman Tsarukyan found himself on the flawed side of UFC boss Dana White after withdrawing from his scheduled title fight against Islam Makhachev.
Due to his last-minute withdrawal from the UFC 311 primary event, he was then snubbed when White announced that Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje will compete for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324.
And despite being in touching distance of the 155lb title, ‘Ahalkalakets’ has admitted he would take one other fight that isn’t for the lightweight strap.
Was Arman Tsarukyan’s response to Paddy Pimblett’s UFC 324 title shot valid?
The Armenian star was ignored despite being the No. 1 contender, making weight because the UFC 317 backup, and submitting Dan Hooker for his fifth straight win.
Tsarukyan would take a BMF title fight within the meantime
This past Saturday, the Armenian competed in Real American Freestyle, taking over All-American wrestler, Lance Palmer.
Tsarukyan went on to utterly dominate the previous PFL champion, showcasing his dominance across promotions.
His win over Palmer marked Tsarukyan’s second win in only the matter of weeks, after he won a title in ACBJJ on December 17, submitting Mehdi Baydulaev.
Despite staying lively by competing outside of the UFC, the 29-year-old has revealed that he could be concerned with taking one other fight within the UFC, even when it isn’t for the lightweight title.
On March 7, Max Holloway is scheduled to defend his BMF title against Charles Oliveira within the UFC 325 primary event, and Tsarukyan is concerned with fighting the winner.
“I’m too young to attend around, if they offer me the BMF title, that will be great,” he told Ariel Helwani.
“If Charles Oliveira wins, that’s gonna be good, we’ve got the story after which get that belt, after which go for the true belt. Just to remain busy. The grappling and the wrestling is sweet, but I’m here for the UFC.
“The most effective scenario is, Ilia (Topuria) isn’t gonna fight this 12 months, so I’m gonna fight for the belt in June against the winner of Paddy vs Justin,” he continued.

Tsarukyan concerned with future move to featherweight
‘Ahalkalakets’ is widely considered considered one of, if not the very best lightweight on the planet, with a big majority of the UFC fanbase favoring him over Ilia Topuria.
And despite being an enormous 155lb fighter, Tsarukyan has admitted that he could be concerned with a future move all the way down to featherweight to fight for the title.
“I’m not too big for 155lbs, so possibly in the future I’ll go all the way down to 145lbs only for a title fight.”
