CM Punk Reveals Who He Believes Has Gained The Most From WWE Unreal

CM Punk has admitted that the “Unreal” Netflix series makes him uncomfortable, but argued that it’s also helpful to WWE wrestlers.

Punk previously stated that the series, which pulls back the curtain on the magic of professional wrestling, is counterintuitive to what he does, but has now outlined the positives he can take away from the show.

“Yeah, [Unreal bothers me] somewhat bit. But there’s also lots of good in it. Like, I watched the primary season and I liked it. There’s definitely points of things that I don’t need people to see and so I tell them to not film it,” he said in a recent interview with “Busted Open.” “You already know, you’ll be able to’t deny that there’s an enchanting aspect of, , peeling back that curtain and letting people get somewhat little bit of a glimpse.”

Punk specifically identified that the show has humanized certain stars, one among whom he mentioned was Charlotte Flair, whom he previously said is misunderstood.

“What Unreal can type of possibly do is humanize people somewhat bit. I believe the primary season humanized Charlotte really, rather well because I believe she’s had this public life, and she or he’s like all of us, we make mistakes they usually occur very publicly, and so it is simple to point at people and, , laugh or whatever. And, listen, lots of wrestling fans, what they prefer to do greater than cheering on their favorites, is tearing them down.”

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, who was featured on the show last 12 months, which was the primary season of the series, is just not certain if he will likely be an element of season 2. The second season of Unreal will likely be released on Netflix on January 20, just just a few days before the Royal Rumble, which marks the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania.
