UP Warriorz secured their first win of the season with a 7-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians on the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday, highlighted by Harleen Deol’s half-century. MI, after being asked to bat first by UP, managed to attain 161 runs for the lack of 5 wickets, largely as a consequence of Nat Sciver-Brunt’s 65 runs from 43 balls and Nicola Carey’s unbeaten 32-run contribution. Sciver-Brunt also made an impact with the ball, dismissing UPW openers Meg Lanning and Kiran Navgire. Nonetheless, Deol and Phoebe Litchfield steadied the chase.
