No contract extension talks with Trevor Zegras yet, but he hopes to stay with the Philadelphia Flyers
Kevin Kurz of The Athletic: The Philadelphia Flyers have forward Travis Konecny already locked up long-term. GM Daniel Briere recently locked up Christian Dvorak for five years. Talks with pending RFA Trevor Zegras haven’t began yet in line with Briere.
“I definitely hope it helps. Trevor is one more reason why we’ve taken a step. So, we’ll see. We haven’t began discussing anything with Trevor but he’s restricted, so now we have a little bit bit more, I suppose, power on that front. But we would like to maintain him here. It’s been figuring out. Hopefully he keeps playing the way in which he has. He’s been impressive this yr.”
Zegras said he’s hopeful that something may be worked out.

“I mean, I can only hope. A few of this contract stuff prior to now has been tough. Obviously, the last contract I went through was a little bit hairy. So I try not to place expectations on it, or anything like that. In the event that they want me here for a very long time, I’d love that.”
The St. Louis Blues are listening on almost everyone, and who’s interested
The Fourth Period: St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong has been aggressively attempting to make some moves. Sources say they’re listening to calls on almost anyone, including defenseman Colton Parayko, and forwards Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou. The asking price on those three is clearly really high. All three have full no-trade clauses.
Also getting interest are forwards Brayden Schenn and Pius Suter, and defenseman Justin Faulk. All three have a yr left on their contracts. Schenn and Faulk have 15-team no-trade lists.
It’s believed the Montreal Canadiens, Latest Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals have shown some interest in Schenn.

The Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights have been linked to Faulk.
Pending UFA forwards Oskar Sundqvist and Mathieu Joseph may very well be moved by the trade deadline.
