Chase DeMoor reveals details of Andrew Tate rematch clause

Prior to Chase DeMoor and Andrew Tate’s fight, much of the build-up centred around the fact TV star’s issues with the fight contract. He agreed to a handbag only a fraction of his opponent’s and a string of outlandish and demanding stipulations including cutting to 200lb for a heavyweight title fight.

One such imposition was a guaranteed rematch if he won, which might occur presumably under the identical circumstances. Nonetheless, plainly Tate isn’t keen, insisting to Bloody Elbow immediately after the fight that he wouldn’t start talks for a rematch until DeMoor had requisite time to enjoy his win.

Now, in an interview with Fred Talks Fighting, DeMoor explained that the clause still has yet to be activated. “We’re just navigating what’s next between the each of us and our contracts,” he said of the second fight.

“They do have the rematch clause which he has until February 20 to activate, otherwise they don’t. I’m obviously having conversations with Misfits, his team, my management and my team, he does have a rematch clause but I don’t think it specifically has the identical terms as the primary fight.

“So obviously I used to be severely nerfed in our first fight with the load draining, being B-Side, travelling to Dubai etc. He can have the rematch but now you’re talking fighting at heavyweight, fighting on my terms, he’s going to be the B-Side, it’s going to say ‘Chase DeMoor vs Andrew Tate’ this time.

“I feel loads of that, should you give it some thought when it comes to how media goes and marketing, you’ve got to take a look at it like ‘you couldn’t get the job done after I was nerfed, you think that I’m going to get the job done after I’m not nerfed?’

“They probably won’t be too glad because Andrew has obviously got rather more fame than I do, he’s a very talked-about and polarizing figure. I feel should you have a look at it for what it’s he’s now going to be the underdog and the pressure pendulum swings.”
