Sean O’Malley’s next fight
Almost nine years later, Sean O’Malley has fulfilled his potential in additional ways than one.
The 31-year-old has been certainly one of the most important stars in MMA ever since he signed with the UFC.
O’Malley reached the top of the game when he won bantamweight gold by knocking out Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 in August 2023.
Now, he’s on the comeback trail after suffering consecutive defeats against 135lb great Merab Dvalishvili.
O’Malley will face Song Yadong within the co-main event of UFC 324 in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
A win puts him back within the title mix, but a defeat will leave O’Malley’s MMA profession in limbo.
