Michael Owen: ‘Mainoo still has some extent to prove’
‘By the very proven fact that Amorim has gone, you’d think that he’s going to get loads more opportunity to play, but that’s where the positive for him ends in some ways,’ Owen told Metro when asked concerning the United midfielder
‘Now it’s right down to Mainoo. It’s all right blaming people, but in fact, his time is now going to come back and he’s got to take it.

‘He’s got to take that chance because if the subsequent manager doesn’t play him and the subsequent manager doesn’t bring him on much, then in some unspecified time in the future, a little bit bit like Marcus Rashford, those doubts might begin to creep in.
‘He’ll be considering, “Am I playing well? Am I listening to the data I’m getting? Am I disciplined? Am I all of this stuff?”
‘Right away, he will likely be one among the happiest people about, but now it’s going to be squarely on his toes, and there’s no hiding place or excuses.
‘He’s got to now prove that Amorim was unsuitable by not playing him as much. He’s probably going to get that chance, so we’ll see.’
‘I’ll carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life,’ Casemiro said.
‘From the primary day that I walked out at this beautiful stadium, I felt the eagerness of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this special club.
‘It just isn’t time to say goodbye; there are lots of more memories to create through the next 4 months.
‘We still have loads to fight for together; my complete focus will, as all the time, remain on giving my all the pieces to assist our club to succeed.’
