Toosii Broadcasts Decision To Step Away From Syracuse University Football Team
On Wednesday (January 20), Toosii sparked major response online after announcing on X (formerly Twitter) that he would now not play for the Syracuse University football team. “Now not committed to the University of Syracuse… Stay tuned. 🎞️ All Glory To God,” he wrote in a post on X.
Following Toosii’s tweet, Syracuse University head football coach Fran Brown addressed the situation in a video with Cuse Sports Talk. Brown said Toosii is almost definitely not going to play on the team, but could still have the chance to walk on. “I’m willing to provide Toosii a shot to live out his dream,” Brown said. Nonetheless, he explains that with more commitments filling the roster, it’s uncertain whether he’ll join the team.

After the news and Coach Brown’s comments, Toosii addressed his football journey further on X. He tweeted, “I been hated on this whole process. It never stop me I like a great underdog story.” In a follow-up tweet, he also added, “Great things don’t come easy!”
