Joe Rogan wants Paddy Pimblett’s chin ‘studied by science’ after he’s hospitalized at UFC 324

Joe Rogan was certainly one of many viewers left amazed by Paddy Pimblett’s incredible chin as he was battered in a formidable first effort at UFC gold.

The previous Cage Warriors champion was dropped on multiple occasions and left gushing blood by Justin Gaethje during a five round war. Ultimately, it wasn’t enough to win him the interim lightweight title because the American scored a unanimous decision victory.

Pimblett was taken to hospital after the fight, through which he was the victim of multiple eye pokes in addition to being dropped on multiple occasions in his first five rounder since difficult for a second Cage Warriors belt in 2018.

While Justin Gaethje insisted that he was ‘100 per cent’ in a backstage chat with Dana White, Paddy Pimblett was not so lucky. Kate Scott confirmed on the post-fight show that he was quickly transferred to hospital after the fight.

“We sent Paddy Pimblett straight to the hospital,” White told the media in the course of the post-fight press conference.

“We were going to send Gaethje too and he was like ‘imagine me, I’ve been in loads of wars, I’m good. So so far as we all know he’s healthy.”

Asked in regards to the durability of Pimblett’s chin if he takes more damage like tonight, White replied: “He took some big shots from a man who knocks everybody out. But I don’t know – you can say the identical thing about Justin Gaethje, how is his chin going to be after the Max Holloway fight.

“It’s tough to inform, you don’t ever need to see guys take an excessive amount of punishment but I don’t know if tonight affected Paddy’s longevity in his profession in any respect. He showed tonight he’s tough, he’s durable, he can take a punch. He can take loads of punches, actually.”

In the course of the post-fight show, Joe Rogan expressed his amazement at how the Scouser, who insists that his people don’t get knocked out, survived a few of Gaethje’s more concussive power punches.

“From the opening bell, he didn’t fight tactically,” Rogan said of Gaethje’s game plan.
”One in every of the things that we said about him is that he’s tempered that chaotic style with intelligence and with tactics. Not tonight… Not tonight.

“He didn’t check a single leg kick, got here in, waded forward, throwing bombs from the very starting. There was little or no, like, feeling out… It was just attempting to knock his head off. 
It was madness.

“The guy’s never been in a foul fight in his life… If he doesn’t [get a bonus], there needs to be a riot. 
And it was incredible. I mean, what a chaotic essential event. Look, the chin of Patty Pimblet must be studied by science. Incredible!”
