Movsar Evloev is chomping on the bit for a shot at featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski.
The Russian was one among two undefeated contenders omitted when the controversial rematch between Volkanovski and Diego Lopes was announced for UFC 325.
Dana White and the promotion got here under fire for that booking, which left Evloev and Lerone Murphy watching from home while they await their next steps contained in the Octagon.
Evloev was the primary to react after Volkanovski beat Lopes for a second time on Saturday in Sydney, Australia, and it’s protected to say that he was impressed.

It was the identical story for the Brazilian in his rematch with the two-time champion.
As was the case when Volkanovski beat Lopes at UFC 314 in Miami, Saturday’s challenger was capable of drop the Australian but couldn’t capitalize.
Apart from that success, Lopes was outmatched for many of the fight, reflected by the three scorecards reading 50-45, 49-46, and 49-46 in Volkanovski’s favor.
The 2-time featherweight king has been getting widely praised for his latest triumph on MMA’s biggest stage, and amongst those impressed was Evloev.
As he looks to secure his place opposite Volkanovski next day trip, the Russian said he cannot wait for the chance to do what Lopes couldn’t contained in the Octagon.
“Great fight by @alexvolkanovski, he showed that you would be able to recuperate at that age,” Evloev wrote on X. “I can’t wait to share a cage to point out why I’m different than these guys! #ufc325”

Alexander Volkanovski desired to fight Movsar Evloev before UFC 325
Volkanovski is welcoming a fight against either Evloev or Murphy next.
The Australian revealed as much during his Octagon interview at UFC 325, and that was no surprise given how he reacted to the promotion selecting Lopes again.
Last summer, Volkanovski said he desired to fight Evloev. His preference grew to incorporate Murphy after the Englishman knocked out Aaron Pico at UFC 319.
Having gotten past Lopes again, it stands to reason that the Aussie will now finally fight one among those two undefeated contenders.
