Host: “Let’s stay out west, Elliotte, as we move on over to Calgary. Nazem Kadri, I believe even from the start of the season, his name was form of in the combination. What’s the trade marketplace for him straight away?
Friedman: “I do know I’d heard at the tip of last week, Lauren, after they made the deal, obviously the large one for Rasmus Anderson, that things had form of calmed down across the Flames a bit.
Colorado Avalanche Remain Stanley Cup Favorites Despite Skid
Now I do think for a few of their guys, Kadri being one, Blake Coleman being one other, potentially even anyone like MacKenzie Weegar, who has control over his situation. I believe those are names are all going to be discussed.
Zach Whitecloud, I believe they desired to have a conversation with him first before they committed to anything. But I do imagine there’d be taken with him too.
, the thing about Kadri, like I absolutely think there’s interest in Kadri I absolutely think that he’s a player that’s being discussed.
However the thing that Calgary has to cope with here guys, is that till June thirtieth, they only have yet one more retention slot, like they’ve got Markstrom and Anderson tied up until June thirtieth. So when you take a look at all these players on their team who still have term, they’ll only retain on yet one more until the tip of this NHL 12 months.
NHL Rumors: Dallas and Calgary Talking Nazem Kadri
, I do think at different times they’ve had teams call them. , Montreal, I believe has kicked around Kadri periodically. I believe there have been, I do know Dallas has been rumored a bit. The one thing with Dallas is in the event that they keep Robertson or a giant salary, I don’t know in the event that they have the flexibility and the pliability to do that. So I’m not as certain about Dallas. , Montreal has definitely been a team, and I believe there have been just a few others, but the most important issue there’s retention.”
