NHL Rumors: Can the Sabres Get Alex Tuch Re-Signed?

Host: “So Jim, we live in a little bit little bit of a bizarre world here. Two months ago, we probably would have been talking about an incredible fire sale with the Sabres. Now, Alex Tuch is the large query mark going forward. Does he stay on with this organization? Does he take his skills elsewhere? Only time will tell, however the Sabres are sitting immediately third within the Atlantic.

Odd query, didn’t think I’d be asking this query, do the Sabres attempt to do anything between now and the deadline? Or they’re just saying to themselves, we’re just fidgeting with house money.”

Jim Biringer: “I mean, I feel their biggest priority immediately is to sign Alex Tuch. To see if they might get an extension worked out before the deadline. And you’ll be able to’t allow them to go to free agency or let him walk for nothing, considering this amazing run they’re on.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see Jarmo  Kekäläinen just roll with what he has, to be honest, because he’s done that before. We saw it in Columbus, when he had all those free agents (Artemi) Panarin being one in every of them, (Sergei) Bobrovsky, Matt Duchene, like he just allow them to roll and go into the playoffs.

Buffalo’s playing rather well right every so often. They still should make me a believer, and them making the playoffs, nevertheless it’s beginning to turn the opposite way. Hey, this can be a playoff team. I wouldn’t be shocked to see that.

NHL Rumors: Buffalo Sabres, and the Calgary Flames

The people I talked to across the league that Buffalo goes to remain on top, but they’re going so as to add some complementary pieces to go together with this group, because they like what they’ve in that room immediately. And ever since Jarmo has taken over, there’s just been this latest attitude with this group. There’s a belief they usually feel that they will make the playoffs.

And possibly Jarmo gets a little bit aggressive, not an excessive amount of, but he makes a wise hockey trade to simply give this team a fighting likelihood to possibly make a run within the playoffs.”
