Former UFC star slams ‘the worst referee to ever exist’ for his part in recent UFC 325 beating

At UFC 325 almost every week ago, Benoit Saint-Denis laid down a brutal beating on Dan Hooker within the co-main event.

Last Saturday, the premier promotion returned to the Land Down Under for an additional numbered event offering, with UFC 325 headlined by Alexander Volkanovski‘s successful title defense against Diego Lopes.

And within the co-main event, lightweights Dan Hooker and Benoit Saint-Denis clashed in what was an exciting fight for so long as it lasted.

After a powerful start, ‘The Hangman’ was dominated within the second round, subsequently getting viciously battered by the Frenchman on the bottom.

Jorge Masvidal slams Herb Dean for his part in UFC 325 co-main event

Hooker’s grappling defense has been criticized several times up to now and he didn’t show any signs of improvement throughout his fight against ‘God of War’.

And after getting brutally beaten by Saint-Denis, former UFC title challenger Jorge Masvidal has slammed veteran referee Herb Dean for his role within the beating.

Saint-Denis was beating on Hooker for some time before Dean stepped in to stop the fight, stopping the defenseless Hooker from taking any more unnecessary damage.

Despite that, Masvidal believes Dean let the fight go on for way too long, labeling him as ‘the worst referee ever’.

“Oh, who’s the referee? Let me guess, Herb Dean,” Masvidal said as he watched the beating unfold.

“Holy smokes, what’s he waiting for to stop the fight, bro? Yeah, Herb, sometime today, huh? Yeah, Herb, it’s only a fight, no rush. No, yeah, (Hooker) is unquestionably fighting back intelligently Herb. Wow, I don’t wanna take anything away from Saint-Denis’ performance but rattling.

“As I’ve said my whole profession, Herb Dean is the worst referee to ever exist, I mean, f— bro does he suck, holy smokes is he bad.

“He’s on this position for over a minute and a half and he’s eating shots the entire time… Possibly 15 unanswered shots, worst referee. Nothing personal about him, he’s a terrific dude but so far as refereeing, he just doesn’t have it.”

This isn’t the primary beating Dan Hooker received

‘The Hangman’ has been across the premier promotion for a while now, and this isn’t the primary time he received such a violent beating.

Hooker’s 2020 clash against Dustin Poirier is widely thought to be one in all the craziest fights of all time, which the Latest Zealander lost via unanimous decision.
