Logan Paul is at odds together with his brother, Jake Paul, over Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX performance.
After Jake, 29, said on Sunday, February 8, that he wouldn’t be watching the halftime show, Logan, 30, publicly called out his brother via X.
“Purposefully turning off the halftime show,” Jake wrote in an X post on Sunday.
He continued, “Let’s rally together and show big corporations they’ll’t just do whatever they need without consequences (which equals viewership for them) … You might be their profit. Realize you’ve power.”
“Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that,” he wrote, referring to Bunny, 31, who’s Puerto Rican. (Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of america and Bunny is a U.S. citizen.)
Logan reposted Jake’s post and wrote, “I really like my brother but I don’t agree with this.”
“Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m joyful they got the chance to showcase the talent that comes from the island,” continued the WWE star, who owns a property in Puerto Rico.
Bunny earned high praise for his performance Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, because the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Recent England Patriots to assert their second Super Bowl trophy. The rapper brought out a number of surprise guests including Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, Cardi B, Jessica Alba and Pedro Pascal.
But not everybody was impressed with the star’s performance.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is completely terrible, one in all the worst, EVER!” President Donald Trump wrote via his Truth Social account on Sunday. “It is mindless, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. No person understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children which can be watching from throughout the united statesA., and everywhere in the World.”
“This ‘Show’ is only a ‘slap within the face’ to our Country, which is setting latest standards and records each day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!” Trump, 79, continued. “There’s nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it’ll get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is happening within the REAL WORLD.”
Just every week before the Super Bowl, Bunny criticized the Trump administration’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement department.
“We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We’re humans and we’re Americans,” he said during his acceptance speech for Best Música Urbana Album. “I need to say to people, I understand it’s tough to not hate in lately, and I used to be considering we get contaminados [contaminated].”
“The hate gets more powerful with more hate,” the musician added. “The one thing that’s more powerful than hate is love. So, please, we must be different. If we fight, we’ve got to do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people, we love our family and that’s the option to do it. With love. Don’t forget that, please.”
